Bollywood celebrities are using their charm, fan following, and the power of social media for the good. Through social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, they are running campaigns to make people aware of Coronavirus and the disease it causes, COVID-19. Its symptoms and precautions are what the celebrities are trying their fans and people to make aware of.

#CoronaStopKaroNa

A video that is widely shared on every social media platform to spread awareness of Coronavirus is that of Kartik Aaryan. His famous Monologue of “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” was deftly molded to fit in the message of “Social distancing”.

Akshay Kumar

“Hoping that everyone is watching this video from their homes and if not, then it must be because of something very, very important” is how Akshaya Kumar started the video he recently shared on his Twitter handle. Emphasizing the importance to stay indoors, he said people must ask themselves these questions before stepping out: Is it really important for me to go outside? Is it safe?

Let’s do our bit – Shah Rukh Khan

“Our doctors are risking their lives to treat COVID-19 patients and screening passengers at the airport. And our job is to only support them by being a little conscious about the situation. To wash hands regularly, cover your nose while sneezing and if possible, do not go to crowded places.” The Badshah of Bollywood can be seen saying in a video he shared on Twitter.

Salman Khan

Salman Khan used the microblogging platform, Twitter, to upload a short video where he can be seen saying “it’s not a public holiday”, making his fans understand the seriousness of the situation.
